Week 41

BANTER AND TRANSFER VOTING FINISHES ON FRIDAY 27 MAY, GET VOTING
    ffl@kevinjarvis.co.uk

Andy Taylor takes the Manager of the Month award for May, well done

Billy Carter almost picked up the worst week of the year with minus 5, Matt Jarvis still holding strong with minus 6

He is also looking like a shoe-in for the league title this year, unless Doug beats him by 100 points this week

I will run the FINAL points on Monday and announce the winners of all of the prizes then

Week 40

BANTER AND TRANSFER VOTING FINISHES ON FRIDAY 27 MAY, GET VOTING
    ffl@kevinjarvis.co.uk

Leading the way at the moment:
Banter - Ed Halil (no 8)
Transfer - Kevin Jarvis (no 2)

Aiden Reynolds leads the way this week and has overtaken Andy Taylor for the month
Still a battle ahead for the last Manager of the Month prize (May)

Bit of a change in the top 4 for the year
Tel Plummer down two places to fourth
Doug Smith up two places to second

Comments from Steve Gregory.....
Hi kev , as the season draws to a close I have noticed my name has not been mentioned much this season so as a
moral booster for next season could you make up something GOOD about my shite team in the end of season chat .
  Sent from my iPhone

Good things
    1) You must have finally got to grips with the iPhone!
    2) You aren't last....like Ed Halil
    3) You still have two transfers that could make all the difference to the league standings!

Sorry, can't think of anything else good about such a shite team.

Week 39

BANTER AND TRANSFER VOTING HAS STARTED.....GET YOUR VOTES IN
    ffl@kevinjarvis.co.uk

Darren Harvey leads the way this week with 51 points

Andy Taylor is still looking pretty at the top of the league for the month and year

Week 38

Andy Taylor is leading the way this week with 38 points

Meanwhile Justin Kitkat has a woeful minus 1 point

Week 36-7

Vic Matias Manager of the Month for April

Tel Plummer overtaken me into 2nd place

Week 35

Check out the Top Banter / Transfers link above, let me know if I have missed any....voting soon!

Dave Dixon leads the way this week.....never thought I would say that

Watch out Ed, I'm sure Dave will have some advice for you down in 24th

The top 4 for the year are all getting very close now, 86 points between them

Two more weeks to go for April MoM, but Vic is looking strong

Week 34

Vic Matias and his Manchester team are leading the way for April with 80 points

Dave Dixon is the strongest manager this week with a poultry 10 points

Team Green has overtaken Team Edwards in the Family League

Week 33

No games this week as Internationals took over

So it is a shock to note that Ed Halil is in First place (0 points) and Matt Jarvis is in last (0 points)!!

Week 32

Manager of the Month is Tony Pearson, well done, taking Vic in the final week by 11 points

Great week for Andy Taylor, 60 points and all from Saturdays games

For the year, I have managed to sneak into 2nd place, it'll never last

Good luck all for April.....best month of the year.....you are right, my birthday is the 10th.

Some more new players below:

No Position Name Club £m
251 Defender Fabio Man Utd 1.5
257 Defender C Smalling Man Utd 2.5
750 Midfielder Sandro Tottenham 1.5
742 Midfielder J Morrison West Brom 1.5

Week 31

Vic is topping the league again for the week with 62 points and has taken over for the month

Lots of other movements this week in the tables:
Andy Taylor has overtaken Tel Plummer to led the league for the year
Only 34 points separate the top 4 in the league now
Team Edwards has overtaken Team Green in the Family League

One week to go for the Manager of the Month for March, can anyone stop Vic winning.....let's hope so!

Another entry for comment of the year (from Darren Harvey):

KJ,

It is with regret I have decided to keep faith with Torres (Judas) as I'm convinced he has not turned into Gary "Diego" Birtles in the last few weeks and will soon start bagging loads of goals. In reality he'll do bugger all for Chelski except collect £200k a week and I'll continue to falter on the league table. As Lampard and Hernandez have hit form they can come in, which means they will get injured and/or lose form. All of which is even more galling to be falling behind a rugby player who openly states he knows nothing about Football.

So can I do the following please:

568 Malouda out
840 Anelka out

564 Lampard in
956 Hernandez in

Thanks
Darren

Looks like there could be a few comments to vote on at the end of the season!

Week 30

Tony Pearson has had a charge and now leads for the week and month (21 points clear)

Richard Perkins has had a shocker on 2 points....could do better

Week 29

Vic Matias is top for the week with all the Man Utd side and 77 Points

Some classic stuff from Billy Carter this week.....(sorry Billy, couldn't help myself)
On transferring in Torres in for Miereles (only in previous week):

...it was either keep him and swap Van Persie for Bendter, or go cheap in midfield and hope that the long haired fairy Torres comes good
eventually.....I hate Bendtner so I choose torres!!

    On being stupid generally:

I just wanted to check how the scoring works for goals scored. Because David Luis and Rooney both scored on Tuesday but I don't think
I got any points, unless I've been reading the sheet wrong?
Tell me to shut my stupid Manc cockney mouth if I am being an idiot,

The points aren't updated until my email comes out.....normally early Friday morning, but sometimes after work in the evening
    Luis - 12 points
    Rooney - 16 points
You - PRICELESS, oh yeah and 5th for the week, so not all bad

Week 28

Last day thwarts Jarvis, Smith wins.....Hart scoring 5 points last night changed the top spot

Doug is Manager of the Month for February, edging me out by one point......damn that Man City clean sheet!

Aidan Reynolds had a great week with 70 points
Although 18 from Anelka who he has now transferred out for injured Van Persie....bold move

At the other end of the table, Chris Pearce is 14 points above Ed Halil for the week and so pulling away again

Week 27

Billy Carter is leading the way this week with 84 points

Ed Halil and Chris Pearce have no room for banter this week as they both have 39 points
Great work chaps, you made my week with your banter this week
Both are now contenders for the best quote of the year award

Damo Zachlod - could do better - poor week and month for you matey

Week 26

Firstly, Happy Birthday Matt, hope you are having a good one

Doug Smith is leading the way this week and month

Ed Halil has resumed his place at the bottom for the month and year and is prepared for abuse!

Tel Plummer has regained the overall top spot from Andy Taylor

Team Jarvis is still flying, no thanks to Matt.....sorry I shouldn't abuse you on your birthday
However your birthday is only today and this is up for a week....

Week 25

Sorry no commentary......email your own!

Week 24

Well this week is all about me.....a subject I know pretty well.

261 points for the month has sealed Manager of the Month, only taken four seasons to get one :o)

It is all down to the most inspired transfers last week
Out Arsharvin and Chamakh (4 points)
In Berbatov and Van Persie (74 points)
I am thinking that is the "Best Transfer" so far this year, I am happy to be informed of others (let me know)

This has also taken me into the money for the year (4th place), however all of my transfers have now been done, so no injuries please

Team Jarvis is flying (no help from Matt) and we are 237 points ahead of Team Gregory

Point of note: ED HALIL IS IN SECOND FOR THE WEEK (85 POINTS) AND OFF THE BOTTOM FOR THE YEAR
I can see all of us getting abuse this week (except James Townsend who is above him - 94 points)

Extra nine players this week, all players are on the spreadsheet on the "Players" tab

Good luck everyone for February, from a very happy (broken even) Kevin

Week 23

Bret Cobbett is leading the way this week, for someone who is rarely top how come he is 5th overall, consistency?

Dave Dixon, poor week (4 points), shame on you

Ed is above Matt and Dave....nice....I can hear the abuse from here

Week 22

Jemma Edwards and Darren Flory have had storming weeks and lead the way with 41 points

Aidan Reynolds has pushed his way into the lead for the month, however only 16 points cover the top 7 managers this month

A little movement on the season figures, most notably I go ahead of Matt !!!

Team Jarvis now in a commanding lead of 139 points above Team Gregory Ö nice!

On a final note praise must go to Steve Gregory for working out how to email on his new iPhone

I should give you some bonus points for it, but it would take quite a few to make you competitive again so no point really (denied!)

Week 21

Doug Smith is leading the way in January with a 96 point haul

Doug has also slotted into 2nd place pushing Tel Plummer into 3rd

Team Jarvis is flying.....catch us if you can!!

Week 20

December Manager of the Month goes to Andy Taylor....well done

Also Andy has taken the most points in a week with 105 and is in line for a tenner

Oh yeah, and he is top of the league for the year, looks like The Andy Taylor Week is in full effect

In the Family League, Team Jarvis is pulling away....now 82 points clear of Team Gregory

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE

Week 19

Poor scores in a snow hit week

Matt Jarvis - hang your head in shame MINUS SIX points, oh well at least you may win a tenner

Tony Pearson leads the way with 23 points and James Townsend is leading the way for the month

However all to play for with one week to go in December

HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL

Week 18

Paul Flory is on top this week

James Townsend is leading the way for the MoM for December

Tel Plummer retakes the top spot overall

Week 17

I'm back in more ways that one, commentary has resumed and I am leading the way for the month....nice!

61 points for the week and 102 points for the month puts me in the lead.....nice one Nasri

In a fall from grace, Sam Gregory is the Strongest Manager of the Month with a poultry 14 points

Ed Halil is in a unaccustomed mid league position for the week and eighth, yes EIGHTH for the month

Team Jarvis is leading the way in the Family League

Week 16

No Commentary....apart from announcing the arrival of our son Max (what a cutie)

Week 15

CAN SOMEBODY RUN THE SPREADSHEET NEXT WEEK AND EMAIL SEND IT TO ME AS I WILL NOT BE AROUND

I WOULD RATHER HAVE 37 COPIES THAN NONE, SO PLEASE SEND THEM

Manager of the Month is Sam Gregory....can't believe I tried to award a week early

My back was killing me in my defense

Great week for Sam Kitkit 83 points, poor week for Richard Perkins 10 points

No changes in the Family League.....Flory's could do better.

Next week, start of December Manager of the Month

Week 14

Manager of the Month is Sam Gregory

Sorry no more commentary......my back is killing me

Week 13

Andy Taylor is the leader in the clubhouse this week with 90 points

Billy Carter - could do better 2 points

Team Jarvis back on the up and chasing down Team Gregory

Best comment for the year has been made by Chris Pearce for the below transfer request, beat that!:

Christ....I forgot to key an eye on this....
Transfer needed - half my team are not even F'ing playing............!!!
    1.  Greasy Spaniard - Gomes - out -- put in Hart (047).  Never trust the foreigners !!!!
    2.  Samuel (153) - obviously can't even kick a ball - your gone.  R Johnson (109) - never heard of you - but your in !
    3.  Wayne Bridge (166) - not surprised your girlfriend ran off with someone else - you can't play ! - Baines (179) - you keep scoring points and you can have Wayne's girl as well. !
    4  Lampard (564) - for £9m you should play through the pain ! - Nani (659) - you have a dodgy name - put you can't be worse !
    5.  Santa Cruz (830) - go home !!! - Drogba - all is forgiven - get back in my team.  (842)
    6.  Gallas (104) - no your playing for Aldershot FC going forward - Ridgewell (410) - come out of the cold and play for a real team.
Shriek Rooney  - you had better get fit soon !!!!!!!!!! - and you Cole !!

Week 12

Poor week for Team Jarvis, me on 18 points and Matt on 8 (although better than the mid week MINUS 3)

Both Team Gregory and Team Green have now gone above us in the league

Tel continues to lead the way with 89 points for the week, can anyone catch him?

Week 11

Manager of the Month for October is Tel Plummer, well done fella.

Dave Green......hang your head in shame...... MINUS 5 points for the week (still you are up for the tenner at the moment)

You have also dropped Team Green down a place and are letting your brother down

Chris Pearce is also worth a mention at MINUS 1 point for the week

Ed - you have 10 managers below you this week, I do expect some comments!

Week 10

Tel Plummer leads the way for the week, month and Year....take a bo' son!

One week to go to take him off the October MoM prize

Tel Plummer also has joined Damo Zachlod as the highest scoring player with 96 points....well done.

Chris Pearce spends another week as the "strongest manager" and is challenging Ed Halil for the year

Team Jarvis finally takes their rightful spot on top of the Family League, can't take much credit for that though

No funny quotes coming in the last few weeks, so Dave still looking good for the cash with:

"You may be above me taxi boy but you're still a bit slow on the uptake!"

Week 9

No games....

Week 8

New players in this week

Code Position Player Club Value
3 Goalkeeper L Fabianski Arsenal 4.5

182 Defender S Coleman Everton 2.5
465 Defender M Williamson Newcastle 1.0
541 Midfielder C Gardner Birmingham 2.0

939 Striker J Walters Stoke 1.5
735 Midfielder A Elmohamady Sunderland 2.0

No games coming up this week, due to internationals

Richard Pearshouse has joined Ed Halil with 0 points for the week...poor effort (but maybe up for a prize)

Doug Smith leads the way for the month after taking the week with 51 points......come on Steve Gregory catch him!

Team Green still leading the way in the Family League (come on Matt, pull your socks up!)

Week 7

Family League is underway and the Green's lead the charge, with the Flory's lagging behind

Gary Glazier and Bret Cobbett are leading the way for October with 59 points

No changes at the top overall with Tel and Derek leading the way

Bottom two in the league have appropriate team names

    F-All Hope FC (Chris Pearce)

I Haven't Got A Clue FC (Ed Halil)

Week 6

First Manager of the Month for 2010/11 is Steve Lightfoot....take a bow son!

Tel Plummer has taken over the lead from Derek Dixon.

Ed Halil hang your head in shame.....zero points this week, still read below you may get a tenner!

SPOT PRIZES ANNOUNCED (£10 each)!

Highest week score - Currently Damien Zachlod (96)

Lowest week score - Currently Ed Halil (0 - from this week, poor!)

Best transfer - Currently held by Justin Kitkat for transferring in and then out Walcott in the same week

Best Quote - Currently Dave Dixon "You may be above me taxi boy but you're still a bit slow on the uptake!"

Week 5

A massive 45 transfers have been made in the last two weeks, so please check that they have been completed as you were expecting

Also a reminder that transfer deadline is Thursday midnight and will be upheld from this week

Now to the points:

Steve Lightfoot has a massive 92 points for the week and leads the month with 104 points pushing John Loughlin into 2nd place

One week to go before the first Manager of the Month is announced

Derek Dixon is still the leader in the clubhouse for the year, although Matt Jarvis and Bret Cobbett are hot on his heals

Deadline for having a "Pairs League" this Friday, let me know if you want this to happen

£10 per team, points starting from next week

Teams in (I think):  Jarvis, Gregory, Flory, Green, Dixon

Ed Halil is above two managers now (Dave Dixon and Justin Kitkat)....Take a bow son!

Carlo

Week 4

Please note a change (increase) in the prize money due to the late entries....

    Old: 1st £150, 2nd £110, 3rd £75, 4th £40

    New: 1st £160, 2nd £120, 3rd £80, 4th £40

Week 3

John Loughlin is leading the way to the manager of the month for September (57 points).

Billy Carter has had a mare with only 4 points this week.

As for Dave Dixon, what has happened matey, you are below Ed "I Haven't Got A Clue FC" Halil, shame on you!

Derek Dixon and Richard Perkins are leading the way at the moment.

All transfers are now up to date, so let me know if you think I have missed any.

Carlo

Week 2

Sorry for the brief mail, but I need to do this before we go to the beach....it's too hot to write too much (32 degrees).

Damo Zachlod has had a fantastic week 96 points.

Vic Mathis, I believe that Ed may well be giving you some stick this week (15 points vs his 35 points)

Although it may not be too much stick as Ed is still the strongest manager for the month.

Derek Dixon is the leader in the clubhouse with 146 points.  At least that means that Paul Flory won't be complaining about no Manager of the Month for August this year!

One for everyone to know - Adam Dean has already made 4 out of his 10 transfers...hope they don't get injured!

Good luck for September, the first Manager of the Month is all to play for.

Carlo

Week 1

Paul Flory leads the way again in August, shame there's no Manager of the Month.....

Ed Halil is the "Strongest Manager of the Week", holding everyone else up.

SPECIAL MENTION:

ADAM GREEN and PATRICK WEST for the first transfers of the competition

JUSTIN KITKAT for keeping the faith with Craig Bellamy.......he's at Cardiff and he's not coming back!

New player - Damien Zachlod, joined late, so had all of Drogba's points (28) deducted.

If you are interested in putting a little money on the side for a "Family League", let me know.

This would mean teams of two (not necessarily family), having their combined scores count and a winner take all competition.

Well done Matt for being ahead of me for the week.....marathon not a sprint my brother!

Good luck to all

Carlo Ancelotti
